Jennifer Aniston Theroux is one star loved the world over for her light-hearted roles and comic talent. The actress will now put a smile on your face in a new advert as a brand ambassador for Emirates Airline.
The one-minute video has the ‘Friends’ star walking around a plane in search of the shower facilities, and ends up asking the cabin crew for directions in a bath robe, holding a loofah. This is the first time that the Dubai-based airline has collaborated with the international film and television star in a global digital and TV campaign. The big reveal at the end is what will tell viewers how the Emirates experience is unlike any other.
It was announced in September that the 46-year-old would star as the new face of Emirates’ global campaign. The campaign comes close on the heels of rival Etihad Airways signing up actress Nicole Kidman for its advertising push.
Boutros Boutros, Emirates’ Divisional Senior Vice President, Corporate Communications, Marketing & Brand said: “Jennifer Aniston’s has an effortless connection and widespread appeal with a global audience. This makes her the perfect choice for the campaign. We chose to take a humorous approach to showcase the wonderful experience offered by Emirates on board. In fact, we wrote the script with Jennifer Aniston in mind. Her professionalism and comedic talent shone on the set and we are very pleased with the outcome.”
The ad film has been directed by Oscar-nominee Bryan Buckley, famous for many Super Bowl ads. Emirates has invested $20 million in securing TV spots worldwide for the campaign, which will also see 30-second and longer 60-second versions. An official confirmation on Jennifer’s fee for the advert is not available, though inside sources reveal it could be anywhere from £ 3-5 million. For now, here is a teaser…
