One of the most well established multi-designer chains in India, AZA showcases collections by India’s most talented and acclaimed designers. AZA recently unveiled an exclusive fashion preview over a high tea with Devangi Parekh and designer Ankita Choksey showcasing the latter’s latest luxury pret line, at the multi-designer boutique’s Bandra Store.
Devangi Parekh, Creative Director of AZA, along with designer Ankita Choksey hosted a fun evening soiree to introduce the Autumn Winter collection, ‘WayFarer’, to Mumbai’s discerning fashionistas who appreciate finesse in fashion, such as Shraddha Kapoor, Rhea Chakraborty, Riddhi Dogra, Tanya Ghavri, Reena Wadhwa, Kresha Bajaj, Nandini Singh, Anushka Rajan and many more.
Ankita’s design philosophy is about creating clothes that are understated yet luxurious and feminine. The garments are utilitarian, can easily be taken from day to night. Each style comes with chic cuts and impeccable detailing. The palette consists of jewel tones like teal, indigo, silver interspersed with white and black in silhouettes that epitomise laid-back luxe.
Shraddha Kapoor looked elegant in a black and white low back ruffle dress by Ankita. Rhea Chakraborty, Riddhi Dogra, Kresha Bajaj, Nandini Singh and Devangi Parekh were also seen wearing pieces from the WayFarer line.
Designer Ankita Choksey said: “We are very excited to be launching our WayFarer collection at AZA. Inspired by my travels, it has versatile styles and vibrant prints. The collection epitomises laid-back luxe.” Ankita’s penchant for travel has taken her to a few interesting destinations in the last year. This collection is a tribute to some of the cities she has visited, revisited and loves. Drawing inspiration from every place, each style has a story connected to its namesake city. The garments are made in luxurious cotton silks and chiffons. And much like the cities represented in the collection, each style embodies the signature Ankita aesthetic – romantic elegance perfectly blended with comfort and style.
“Ankita’s clothes have an effortless vibe. At the same time, they’re extremely chic and made with fabulous finishing. I love wearing her dresses because she uses the best fabrics and has a unique eye for what will stand out. I am so happy that her collection will now be so accessible to everyone at AZA and am sure it will be a sellout!” said Shraddha Kapoor.
Devangi Parekh, Creative Director of AZA shares, “AZA is delighted to launch the multi-talented designer Ankita Choksey, whose fresh, youthful creations are both contemporary and classic with immaculate detailing. This travel-inspired line, which translates easily from day to night, is perfect for our global, fashion-forward Aza clientele.”
