Magique: a place that justifies its name

MagiqueMagique Restaurant is one of the beautiful destinations in Delhi. One can spend an amazing evening especially with their loved ones at this restaurant. It serves Chinese, Thai and various other cuisines. The seating arrangements are such that they create a lovely atmosphere throughout the restaurant.

Magique Restaurant (New Delhi) is set up in the Garden of Five Senses. It is surrounded by greenery and fresh air. The restaurant is lit up with candles and fairy lights in the evening.

The interior of the restaurant is designed in a retro style. One finds paper lamps, wall hangings, mist fans, lanterns and metal swings, wooden table and candle stands. The antiques, decoration, lights and shimmering fountain creates a lovely aura in the restaurant.

Here’s my take on Magique:-

Ambience-5/5: The place is perfect for romantic dinners or special evenings. The setting is simple yet beautiful. They have efficiently used dim lighting, a right mix of outdoor and indoor space and have thus maintained the feel of having a meal in a fancy garden (well maintained of course).

Food-4.5/5: For starters, we ordered Lebanese Platter (Falafel, Veg shashlik, Hummus) served with pita bread. I found ‘Hummus’ the best in taste among all. And spicy vegetable skewers – Broccoli, Baby Corn, Tofu and Mushroom added flavor to our starters. #Delicious platter to start with.

For the main course, we had Pan fried noodles Shanghai Style, but the main thing was that we customised our dish according to our taste. It was one of the best Chinese cuisines we ever had. One portion of noodles is enough for 2.

Desserts: Swiss style with raisin Brownie with toffee sauce. We ordered desert with toffee sauce instead of its original dark chocolate sauce. We found the desert quite impressive in taste. I bet you once you have a bite of it, you will end up licking your fingertips.

Drinks: They also have custom made cocktails with their recipe. The quality of drinks was good. They serve different brands of alcohols as well

Service-3/5: Staff was well-dressed/polite and helping us every time we needed.

Downside: Music was a little odd. It just didn’t go with the theme of this restaurant. It makes you feel as if you are sitting in a lounge. This can definitely be improved.

Value for money-4/5: Rs. 2500-3000 for two (with Alcohol)
Thought : Keep Magique for special evenings only and you won’t be disappointed.
